Present. Connected. Alive.

“When experience is viewed in a certain way, it presents nothing but doorways into the soul.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn
Each moment we are aware, we are mindful. This is natural and inherent.
Mindlessness is inherent too. Gobbling a meal without tasting it. Missing what your friend is saying because your mind is elsewhere. Ending a day feeling like you haven’t had a moment to yourself. Life feels restricted, constricted, rushed.
Living mindfully we are present, connected, alive with all that life has to offer. Moment to moment life feels light, abundant, spacious.
Living mindfully we can meet self, life and others with kindness, compassion and equanimity.

“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally. This kind of attention nurtures greater awareness, clarity, and acceptance of present moment reality. It wakes us up to the fact that our lives unfold only in moments. If we are not fully present for many of these moments, we may not only miss what is most valuable in our lives but also fail to realise the richness and depth of our possibilities for growth and transformation.” – Jon Kabat-Zin Wherever you go, there you are.
