Welcome. Here you will find a practice grounded in the clinically tested secular Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course devised by Jon Kabat-Zinn, blended with compassion and kindness.

Here you can take the standard, core 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course, or variations on this adapted as Living Mindfulness, Mindfulness for Teachers, Mindfulness for Teens, and Mindfulness Based Cancer Recovery.

The practice of Mindfulness can enhance your life, work and wellbeing.

Mindfulness trains our attention, cultivating a deeper level of awareness, focus, presence and clarity. This can be applied to improve insight, balance, equanimity, creativity, resilience, effectiveness, compassion, and non-judgement, building a healthy relationship with yourself, your work, life and community.

If you are new to mindfulness, my 8 week Introduction to Mindfulness course offers a gentle introduction to the core practices and attitudes of mindfulness, with 1:1 support.

Living Mindfulness is an 8-week course designed by Ratnadevi and Dr Charlotte Proctor and is perfect for those who seek an enhanced sense of wonder, gratitude, wellbeing and balance in life.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is the classic 8-week course devised by Jon Kabat-Zin in building resilience and equanimity through challenging and difficult times.

Mindfulness for Teachers is a basic introduction to the core practices of mindfulness, adapted to focus on enhancing presence and awareness, valuable for effective classroom teaching, managing a heavy workload and maintaining peak performance under pressure. I am a school teacher with 30 years classroom experience, so I use this every day of my working life.

Mindfulness for Teens: Mindfulness practice, adapted for teens, offers a range of accessible core practices, mindfulness-based activities and reflective exercises to enhance presence and awareness, with benefits in emotional regulation, self-esteem, cognitive function, creativity, resilience, memory and stress management.

Mindfulness Based Cancer Recovery: Receiving a cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of uncertainty, stress and change. This 8 week course, designed and run by Drs Linda Carlson PH.D R.Psych and Michael Speca Psy.D, R.Psych from the University of Calgory, offers many benefits for cancer patients, their families and friends. The core practices help you prepare mentally and emotionally to navigate your journey with presence, resilience and a improved sense of agency. With better control of stress or anxiety, you can improve your quality of life and build a healthy relationship to yourself along the way. I run local courses in Mindfulness Based Cancer Recovery. I trained to teach this course in 2022 and maintain monthly mentoring and discussion sessions with the course designers and others who teach the course around the world. I am currently the Mindfulness coach for Cancer Support Group 06, a charity supporting cancer patients and their families on the Cote D’Azur.

Mindfulness is a beautifully simple yet powerful practice that offers to waken you up to the rich, dynamic lived experience of your life.

Once you have learned the basic core practices, you can develop and refresh your practice with courses in Mindful Communication, Mindful Journaling. I also offer courses for a deeper dive into applications for Mindfulness in Teaching and Learning.

Living Mindfulness: Making Mindfulness your own.

Breathe

Compassion and Heartfulness.

We all experience difficult and challenging times as we journey through life, myself included. My Mindfulness practice has been invaluable in giving me the tools to navigate life’s ups and downs with resilience.

Most significantly, my Mindfulness practice goes hand in hand with heartfulness and Self Compassion practice. In my view, Mindfulness is stronger and more effective when practiced with a strong thread of compassion and kindness.

This applies also to Mindful Communication, with Self, others, colleagues, clients.

Reconnect. Recenter. Relax. Reflect. Reperceive. Replenish. Refocus. Revise. Renew. Recalibrate. Recreate. Recharge.

I build my teaching upon the vast and growing empirical and scientific evidence base. I follow the evolution of evidence and practice, integrating these new ideas into my courses. Most of all I treasure the richness of human wisdom and common humanity from being part of a community of practice. We are all teachers, we are all learners.

Be patient with all that is unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves [..]– do not seek the answers – the point is to live everything – live the questions now –[..] resolve to be always beginning – to be a beginner.” – Rainer Maria Rilke Letters to a Young Poet.

My courses, and this community, are designed to be accessible and empowering for all levels, welcoming absolute beginners and those with experience, wishing to take things further.

I have personal experience of how trauma can manifest in our lives, and have studied and integrated many trauma sensitive approaches into my own practice and into all my courses.

I value self-compassion practice, and integrate core elements into course content. Your learning experience is held in compassion, kindness, patience, acceptance, and offers many choices so you can make your practice your own.

I hope to inspire you in building your own practice, and finding new ways of relating to yourself, others and life, and I hope we can all learn from your sharing your journey with us.

We all live busy lives. I teach practices and attitudes that are easily integrated into a working day, a busy life so rather than adding extra, your mindfulness practice becomes a new and more effective way of living the life you already have. The tools and skills of Mindfulness can, be a gift, a moment’s pause, an oasis of clarity and calm in the middle of your busy day. In a few minutes you can reconnect, recenter, refocus, recharge, reflect, replenish, refresh, recreate, reperceive, relax.

I work online, connecting across the anglophone world, and in person on the Cote D’Azur.

I am a member of EAMBA, European Associations for Mindfulness Based Associations, MTCN, The Mindful Teacher Community Network, IMTA, The International Mindfulness Teachers’ Association.
